Here is Excell's 15 point process for paving your driveway -

1 - Assign Project Manager to survey works who will also run the day to day running of your project.
2 - Provide skip or pick up truck for waste.
3 - Dig depth of 250mm with mini digger. (if ground is soft more will need to be removed).
4 - Place a geotextile layer on top of subsoil.
5 - Hardcore is laid and compacted with a with a vibrating plate to a minimum depth of 150mm.
6 - A firm edge restraint is created by laying the edging blocks on a semi dry mix 3 parts sand to 1 cement.
7 - A drainage channel is inserted to direct surface water into a soak away or drain pipe. (if needed)
8 - New manhole cover is bedded into place. (if needed).
9 - 50mm of course grit sand is laid, 20mm higher than the finished height to allow for compacting.
10 – Once the area is totally covered it is then compacted with the vibrating plate.
11 – Screeding rails are inserted to sand and we begin to screed the sand.
12 – The block paving is then laid.
13 - The blocks are cut so we can cut in the edges.
14 - Dry Kiln Sand is then brushed over your block paving and is once more compacted.
15 – 25 year Tobermore product guarantee and 10 year installation guarantee.
